REFLECTION
Throughout this course, you have been encouraged to reflect. Reflection is a powerful tool and can be the catalyst for transformative change.
Take some time now to read the letter that you wrote to yourself at the beginning of the course and reflect on the content. What advice and encouragement have you given yourself? How do you feel about your past self? What growth has there been? Are you progressing as planned?
Think about all the areas that you have covered in the course:
Goal Identification
Motivation
Control
Core Beliefs
Communication
Attachment
Practical issues
Needs
Values
Boundaries
Prioritising yourself
Healing
Reflect on your vision and priorities. Where have you made progress? Where are you finding it difficult to move forward? Where do you want to make adjustments?
Reflect on the insights gained about your beliefs, styles, needs, values, and boundaries. Where has there been growth? Where are there still obstacles? Where do you need support?
Reflect on yourself and your relationship. Where has there been growth? Where does there remain conflict? Where do you need support? What is preventing you from moving forward?
By now, you should feel more confident in deciding your direction. If any areas remain challenging, take extra time to relook at that topic or reach out for a coaching session to address specific obstacles. Ensure that your decision, whether to stay or go, is a conscious and well-understood choice.
Ongoing Reflection
Reflection is an important tool to carry forward with you. Reflection is not just a retrospective exercise; it is a proactive and ongoing process. Taking a few moments each day for introspection offers a powerful mechanism for personal growth and self-awareness. It acts as a deliberate pause, allowing you to examine your experiences, emotions, and actions. Through daily reflection, you can recognise patterns, acknowledge achievements, and identify areas for improvement.
This habit enables a continuous learning mindset, encouraging you to extract lessons from your daily encounters. It strengthens resilience by providing a space to process challenges and setbacks, and it facilitates gratitude as you become more attuned to the positive aspects of your life. Keeping a reflection journal is a simple way to capture and keep track of your thoughts.
In essence, making reflection a daily habit is a small yet profound investment in yourself.
